June 8, 2026, is observed as World Ocean Day worldwide. Although Ambaji lies in the Aravalli hills far from the sea, at Shree Shakti School of Innovation we use this day to honour water — the most precious element that sustains all life. Water connects the oceans, rivers, rains, and groundwater that nourish our sacred Aravalli landscape. On this day, we help our children understand that protecting water is not just an environmental act but a deeply spiritual and practical responsibility.

WHAT We Celebrate/Focus On/Stand For

At SSI we celebrate water as the lifeblood of our Aravalli home. Through experiential activities such as rainwater harvesting awareness, mindful watering of plants, water conservation projects, and discussions on the water cycle, children learn to see water not as an unlimited resource but as a sacred gift.

We stand for conscious living that respects every drop. Our approach blends traditional reverence for water (seen in Indian culture as life-giving and purifying) with practical modern habits of conservation, making environmental responsibility a natural part of daily life.

WHY This Matters Deeply for Our Children

Water directly nourishes the Annamaya Kosha by sustaining our bodies, the food we grow, and the health of our environment. It vitalizes the Pranamaya Kosha as the carrier of life energy (prana); without clean water, vitality diminishes.

When children develop a respectful relationship with water, it calms and expands the Manomaya Kosha, bringing a sense of gratitude and emotional connection to nature. Understanding the water cycle and human impact awakens the Vijnanmaya Kosha, helping children grow in ecological wisdom and responsibility. The peace and beauty of water in nature also touches the Anandamaya Kosha, giving moments of quiet joy and inner harmony.

In the Aravalli region, where every monsoon drop is precious, teaching children to value and conserve water is essential for their future and the future of the land they call home.

HOW Parents and Children Can Act/Participate/Support

For Our Children:

  • Practice mindful water use at school and home, turning off taps properly, using only what is needed, and participating in school water-saving activities.
  • Help water plants gently and observe how every drop supports life.
  • Share one thing they learned about water conservation with their family each day.

For Our Parents and Families:

  • Check for and fix any water leaks at home and involve children in simple water-saving habits (shorter showers, reusing water for plants where possible).
  • Discuss the importance of water during family meals or while watering the garden, linking it to gratitude for nature.
  • Support SSI’s water conservation initiatives and consider small steps like rainwater collection if feasible in your home.

Our Collective/Shared/Commitment at SSI

Shree Shakti School of Innovation is committed to raising children who understand their deep connection with the elements of nature. On World Ocean Day and throughout the year, we integrate water awareness into our experiential learning so that every child develops not only knowledge but reverence for water. By nurturing this awareness in the sacred Aravalli landscape, we prepare conscious future custodians who will protect and honor the precious resources that sustain all life.

May every child at SSI grow with the wisdom that water is life and that caring for it is one of the highest expressions of gratitude and responsibility.
