World Environment Day 2026 at Shree Shakti School of Innovation, Ambaji: Small Actions, Big Impact
On 5 June 2026, the world celebrates World Environment Day with the powerful message that every small action counts. At Shree Shakti School of Innovation, Ambaji, this day is very close to our heart. Nestled in the beautiful Aravalli hills, our campus itself is a living classroom of nature, sustainability, and respect for Mother Earth.
WHAT We Celebrated
This year, SSI Ambaji observed World Environment Day with great enthusiasm. Students participated in tree plantation drives, created beautiful posters and slogans, performed skits on saving the environment, and took a pledge to protect our planet. Special focus was given to the 2026 theme — encouraging everyone to take small, consistent actions that create big positive change.
WHY This Day Matters Deeply
In today’s world, environmental challenges are increasing rapidly. However, we believe the solution lies in education and awareness from a young age. When children grow up loving and respecting nature, they naturally become responsible global citizens.
This celebration beautifully supports our Panchkosha philosophy:
- Annamaya Kosha – Clean air, pure water, and healthy soil
- Pranamaya Kosha – Breathing fresh air and connecting with nature’s energy
- Manomaya Kosha – Developing love and emotional bonding with the environment
- Vijnanmaya Kosha – Understanding ecosystems and sustainability
- Anandmaya Kosha – Finding joy in nature, birds, trees, and open spaces
Building on our recent International Day for Biological Diversity celebration, we continue to teach children that protecting nature is not a duty — it is a way of life.
HOW Parents and Children Can Take Small Actions Together
Here are simple yet meaningful actions you can take at home:
For Children:
- Plant and care for one small plant or tree
- Reduce plastic use — carry your own water bottle and cloth bag
- Save water and electricity consciously
- Observe and document local birds, butterflies, or plants
For Parents:
- Take family nature walks in the Aravalli hills or nearby green spaces
- Start a small kitchen garden or balcony garden together
- Discuss environmental topics in a positive and age-appropriate way
- Reduce single-use plastic at home and involve children in waste segregation
When parents and children work together, these small actions become powerful habits that last a lifetime.
Our Collective Promise
At Shree Shakti School of Innovation, we are committed to raising environmentally conscious children who understand that “We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.”
Let this World Environment Day inspire every SSI family to take at least one small green action every week. Together, our small steps will create a big impact — for our Aravalli hills, for Gujarat, and for the future of our planet.
Small Actions. Big Impact. Brighter Future.
